The RSL BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 1 Course is back to business

The course is set to return to Portugal in close cooperation with the Portuguese Badminton Federation.

Participants and Tutors
This edition brings together ten participants from Lithuania, Estonia, Slovakia, Croatia, France, Portugal, and beyond, all willing to enhance their coaching skills in badminton.

Hosted in the popular badminton training center of Caldas da Rainha, this development activity is scheduled to run from March 14th to 17th, 2024.

A knowledgeable team of tutors, led by Jeroen van Dijk (BEC Development & High Performance Manager) and supported by Dennis Christiensen (CoE Head Coach) and Peter Rusvai (Hungarian Coach & Tutor), will spearhead the course. Through a comprehensive shadow program, these mentors will provide guidance to all European coaches, ensuring they comprehend the curriculum over the course of four intensive days.

The program
The program will dig into fundamental coaching principles, performance enhancement factors, physical techniques, as well as technical and tactical aspects of the game. Additionally, it will cover topics such as: coaching players with disabilities, and the psychological foundations of the badminton game.

It's an exciting opportunity for coaches to shape their skills, exchange ideas in a multicultural environment, and learn from each other.

Stay tuned for the latest updates about the RSL BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 1 course and how the ten coaches and tutors experience it.
