The month of July has witnessed a very busy period as not one, but two training camps have been in full swing - the Women's Singles Training Camp and the Male Singles Training Camp. With 16 additional aspiring European players practicing at the centre's facilities, this summer has been a smashing success.

“It’s fantastic fun. We do these camps for young talents in Europe. We want to bring these players back and see how they have improved throughout the year. We want to give them input and feedback so that they can put in practice back to their home soil”, said Dennis Christensen, coach at the CoE.

The women's and men’s Singles Training Camps, led by Jeroen van Dijk and Dennis Christensen respectively, aimed to keep working with the players, enabling them to unleash their potential on and off court. These talented players have come together to not only work on their badminton game but also to incorporate new tools into their practices, such as video analysis among others. Hence, they have been thrilled to receive personalized feedback and bring back home valuable insights that will improve their performance.

“We really learn to take care of our bodies as we have to practice twice a day, whereas at home we only do once. We really focus on thinking on court, and playing according to the plan and tactics. It’s important to play smart”, Iljo and Yaro van Delsen, two players from Belgium, stated.
