Three of the four seeded pairs in Men’s Doubles will meet on Friday to fight for a spot in the final.

Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen are the top seeds in the Men’s Doubles and after a thrilling quarter final against Ronan Labar and Thom Gicquel, the Danes won 23-21 20-22 21-17.

- It could have gone either way today. They played a great game and made it very difficult for us. We tried to do our best, and I am very happy pulling through after a tough day, Kim Astrup said.

Harder conditions
The runner-up from the Baku European Games, Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov, beat Alex Vlaar and Dimitar Yanakiev, Bulgaria, 21-15 21-18

- It was a very difficult arena for us today. The shuttles were fast and the Bulgarians played very well, Vladimir Ivanov said.

- It was hard to get control on the net and our soft play was not good because we did not had control over the shuttle, Ivan Sozonov added.

Brits ready to push on
The second seeds, Chris Langridge and Marcus Ellis, Great Britain, won in straight games against Finnish pair Anton Kaisti and Oskari Larkimo, 21-17 21-14.

- We are ecstatic to have gotten to this stage of the tournament. It is something that we expected of ourselves coming into the tournament, but we will for sure push on from here, Marcus Ellis said.

- You do feel a bit of pressure because winning that match will guarantee you a medal, Langridge added.

- We played amazing
The final participants in the semi-finals will be Dutch pair Jelle Maas and Robin Tabeling. The Dutch beat Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel from Germany 16-21 21-17 21-18.

- We played amazing. It is hard to describe what we felt on court, Jelle Maas said.
