The big final for the spot at the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships awaits.

The big showdown for the spot at the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships will happen on Sunday when Russia and Scotland play the final of qualification Group 2.

Both teams won their matches on Saturday, which means that both teams have maximum points going into the final day of the qualification.

Russia beat Ukraine 5-0 in the opening tie of the day:

Gilmour on the right track
In the second tie of the day Scotland beat Moldova 4-1 after losing the Men’s Singles. Scottish star Kirsty Gilmour won the Women’s Singles against Vlada Gynga in straight games.

- I tried to keep my pace high and play the simple shots. The more I play in a hall the better I get. Yesterday was tough, but I think I am on the right track, Gilmour says.

And the opinion of Gilmour is, that a big challenge awaits the Scottish team:

- Russia will be our toughest match. They are the favourites in this group.
