Just one week after the junior players from around Europe competed in the Junior White Nights tournament, the senior White Nights 2018 will begin. Taking place in Gatchina, Russia from Wednesday 4 - Sunday 8 July 2018.

Across all the doubles disciplines, Russia take the top seeded spots! Konstantin Abramov and Alexandr Zinchenko will be looking to capitlaise on last year's runner-up position as the top seeded pair, while Rodion Alimov and Alina Davletova represent Russia as first seed in the mixed doubles. Alina Davletova holds on to the top seed spot in the women's doubles event too, alongside her partner Ekaterina Bolotva.

The men's singles sees a vibrant mix of badminton talent in the competition with the first four seeds shared between Pablo Abian (Spain), Vladimir Malkov (Russia), Thomas Rouxel (France) and Raul Must (Estonia) respectively.

Meanwhile, the women's singles sees some international interest from Asia as China's Qi Xuefei enters the event as second seed and India's Sri Krishna Priya Kudaravalli competing as third seed. Nonetheless, Turkey's Neslihan Yigit will be looking to continue her impressive form from last month's Tarragona 2018 Mediterranean Games where she overcame Spain's Beatriz Corrales 21-19 23-21 in the final, and will aim to capitalise on her first seed position for White Nights 2018.
