The commission members of Badminton Europe’s 10 commissions and the Board of Directors will meet in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, for one of the annual Commission meetings this weekend.
In cooperation with the Portuguese Badminton Federation (Federação Portuguesa de Badminton), Badminton Europe is organizing the commission meetings at the Sana Silver Coast hotel.
Located in the city Caldas da Rainha, the Badminton Europe (BEC) commissions will hold individual meetings on June 15 and 16, which will be followed by a meeting for the Board of Directors only, on Sunday June 17.
Most of the directors are chair of a commission and will report on the commission meeting to the rest of the board.
Estonia’s Renna Unt, was elected into the BEC Board at the 2018 BEC Congress in April and is travelling to the commission meetings for the first time as a BEC Director.
- I'm looking forward to starting my work at the board. Since September, I have enjoyed a lot being a member of Member Structures and Para-Badminton commissions where even with this rather short time it has been possible to bring forward initiatives that hopefully benefit badminton in many countries. I believe the work as a board member will enable to find even more ways to contribute to the development and popularity of badminton.
The next Board Meeting will take place in Unt's home country of Estonia in September.
Caldas da Rainha has another badminton event organized this weekend, as a Coach Education Level 2 Tutor-course is organized from 15-17 June with the collaboration from the Portuguese federation, as well.
