Badminton Europe is delighted to announce that the 2013 BEC Summer School will take place in Denmark. From 13 – 20 July 2013, Badminton Denmark will host one of Badminton Europe’s biggest Development activities. The 32nd edition will take place in the city of Vejen in Southern Denmark.

This initiative is the longest run development activity of Badminton Europe. It is expected to welcome participants from many of our Member Associations. In 2012, 48 players, 15 coaches and 7 staff coaches from 23 different countries met in Otocec, Slovenia to have an unforgettable week around badminton.

The BEC Summer School is a combination of a training camp for talented junior players and a coach education course open to all European nations. The complete training programme is managed by 8-10 staff of experienced European Coaches including preferably at least some national junior coaches with a proven track record. The participating coaches are assisting the staff with the training of the talented youngsters and at the same time experience a coaching course led by the staff. The BEC Summer School aims to provide social interaction amongst participants as well as hard work and learning on the badminton court for the players, the coaches and the staff. Players and Coaches come from all over Europe to attend the Summer School.
