Denmark taking the lead

The morning session was good for the Danish players at YONEX All England 2018.

The first Europeans on court were Mathias Christiansen and David Daugaard, who beat English Peter Briggs and Tom Wolfenden in the opening match of the prestigious tournament.

The Danes won in straight games 21-19 21-15.

2-0 for Danish women’s doubles
Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christinna Pedersen struggled a bit against Gronya Somerville and Setyana Mapasa from Austraila winning 21-18 18-21 21-18 in 67 minutes.

The second Danish women’s doubles, who was in action in the morning session, Maiken Fruergaard and Sara Thygesen won in straight games 21-13 22-20 against Chaing and Hung from Chinese Taipei.

Jonas Ralfy Jansen and Josche Zurwonne won the all German battle against Mark Lamfuss and Marvin Seidel, while Irish Sam Magee/Chloe Magee lost to Malaysian Peng Soon Chan and Liu Ying Goh.
