England won 3-1 against France securing a spot in the European Men’s Team Championships final.

Rajiv Ouseph and Brice Leverdez met in the first men’s singles on Court 2. The two players had before today’s match met eight times before with the European Champion Ouseph winning six for the match-ups. And six turned into seven for Ouseph.

After a great match Ouseph took the victory winning 21-14 17-21 21-13.

- I knew it was going to be a tough game. I needed to start well, and I did. I needed to be patience with my attacking, and I think I did that too, the European Champion says.

2-0 lead for England
One strong asset for the English team is the Olympian bronze medallists Chris Langridge and Marcus Ellis, and in the first men’s doubles England made it 2-0.

Langridge and Ellis did, what they had to winning 21-9 21-17 against Bastian Kersaudy and Julien Maio.

Lucas Corvee secured the first point for France winning 21-15 21-17 against Sam Parsons but the victory in the second men’s singles also became the only French victory in the semi-finals.

Peter Briggs and Sean Vendy secured the ticket for the final beating Toma Junior Popov and Thom Gicquel in straight games.

England will play either Denmark or England in the final.
