The former European Champion is back after a foot injury. The comeback came today in Kazan – the city where he claimed his European title in 2014.

For almost eight months the former World number two has been on the side line. Now he is back.

- The last year has been horrible. It has been very hard, and at some moments I was thinking about quitting it all. It is like a second chance standing here, Jan Ø. Jørgensen says.

- I had the feeling, that I haven’t reached my full potential, and I still have more to do. Swiss Open next week is my only individual focus right now. Of course, All England is in the back of my mind. I have a final there a few years back, and I want to be on that big stage again, but maybe it is a little far out, Jørgensen says.

Jan Ø. Jørgensen made his comeback in the first group match for Denmark during the 2018 European Men’s & Women’s Championships against Israel. Jørgensen won his match against Maxin Grinblat 21-4 21-12.
