The world’s number one in men’s singles, Viktor Axelsen, are ready for the semifinals at Perodua Malaysia Masters after three games win against Jonathan Christie from Indonesia.

It was a close game, when the Danish world champion, Viktor Axelsen, passed into the semifinals at Perodua Malaysia Masters after winning in three games with 21-15/19-21/21-12.

In the third game Viktor Axelsen ruled the game and won 21-12, but the last stroke was hard for the Danish world champion, and he fell down on the ground with cramp. After the match Viktor Axelsen said that he was okay.

- It’s only because I came too far out to my left leg, and then it stretches a little bit and gives me a cramp in the lumbar muscle, said Viktor Axelsen to TV2 Sport Denmark after the match.

- I think it came, because I hadn’t drink enough, and then I had sweat a little bit more than I had estimated. Fortunately, there is control of it now, and there is nothing to be afraid of, ends the world champion to TV2 Sport.

Carolina Marin also ready for the semifinals in women’s singles
In women’s singles are Carolina Marin also ready for the semifinals at Perodua Malaysia Masters after a win against Ying Ying Lee in two games with 21-17/21-16.

We can expect a big game in the semifinal, where Carolina Marin has to meet the first seeded Tai Tzu Ying, who defeated the Chinese player Chen Yufei in two games.
