Record number of entries in Lausanne

The tournament in the Olympic Capital Lausanne saw a record number of entries. More than 260 players from Europe, Africa and Asia came this week to Lausanne to take part in the U17 and U19 tournament of the 2012 Swiss Junior International which is part of the Badminton Europe Junior circuit.

For the first time for a long time, the Member Associations from Denmark and Germany decided to send a delegation of some of their top players. While they had a quite close trip to Switzerland, other came from Egypt, Israel and also from the Philippines. After two days of qualification matches, on the Sunday the semi-finals and finals will be played in .
