In 2011 BWF launched the Shuttle Time project dedicated to help teachers introduce badminton to children in schools. The Teachers themselves are being trained by Tutors, and the Tutors trained by Trainers. The objective is to enable each country to promote on their own badminton in schools through teachers.

To help its Member Associations, Badminton Europe will organise in April in Sweden, alongside the European Championships, two different courses, each being a 2-day long course.

The first course, on 19 and 20 April, will be for Member Associations who are ready to implement Shuttle Time. The course will focus on certifying the participants as Shuttle Time Trainers so that they can train Tutors in their country.

The second course, on 22 and 23 April, will be for Member Associations who are still in the process of being ready to implement Shuttle Time. The course it will focus on introducing the project and methods to implement Shuttle Time.

All the information has been sent to Member Association who can send up to two representatives. The deadline to submit applications is 19 March 2012.
