Don't miss live draw for EMTC this Wednesday

At 6 PM CET, Wednesday November 30th, the draw for the 2017 European Mixed Team Championships will be featured live on Polish television. Interested viewers, not situated in Poland, will be able to watch it stream live on Badminton Europe’s Youtube. 


The qualification stage was conducted a couple of weeks ago, and France, Bulgaria, Ireland, Switzerland, and Sweden have qualified from five different qualification groups, which was spread and played across the continent. 

The teams that are already qualified for the final stage are: England, Germany, Russia, Netherlands, Spain, the holding winners from Denmark, and the hosting country, Poland.

The final stage of the European Mixed Team Championship will be played in a group stage, as well, followed by a knock-out stage in accordance with the regulations 9.3 to 9.9. 

In the group stage, the 12 teams will play in groups of three, where teams play all other teams in the same group. The top 2 ranked teams of each group will then progress to the knock-out stage. 

‘Telewizja Regionalna’, a regional Polish TV channel, is airing the draw ceremony live on TV, and on Badminton Europe’s Youtube, the draw will be available for the rest of the world to see.
