Welsh Men’s Doubles Martyn Lewis and Matthew Hughes got through their Quarter Final match to set up a Semi-Final tie against number 1* Martin Campbell & Angus Gilmour of Scotland.  After taking out fellow Welsh Men Phillips & Strange the Welsh pair were looking to take revenge on the Scotsmen and move one step closer to regaining the Doubles title they won back in 2006. However, a 2011 title was not meant to be and the Welsh men went out in a well fought three games match 11-21, 21-15, 21-16. 

In the men's singles the Welsh spectators will see an all-Asian final between top seed Niluka Kurunaratne and Malaysia's Chong Chieh Lok. Iceland's Ragna Ingolfsdottir will take on surprising finalist Nicole Schaller(pictured) of Switzerland. The latter is just 17 years old and is considered to be one of the biggest talents in Switzerland.
