The integration of the experimental scoring system "5x11" in the Bulgarian Eurasia Open proved to be very successful.  The test was adopted predominantly positive by most of the participants in Sofia. The games are way faster – even 5-game-matches last not as long as full distance matches with the existing scoring system - and more exciting.

The 5000 Dollars event in the Sofia Sports Hall brings together future badminton stars from 20 different countries. Many young players managed to make their way to the main draw. The tournament, which commenced on Monday, saw Poland's top seed Michal Rogalski (pictured) advancing to the semi-finals, where he will face Artem Pochtarev of Ukraine. Steffen Rasmussen (Denmark) and the Estonian top shuttler Raul Must will play the second semi-final.

The women's singles semi-finals is an all-Bulgarian and Turkish-affair as Linda Zetchiri (#1) faces Özge Bayrak while Petya Nedelcheva (#2) will play Neslihan Yigit.



The finals will be played on Thursday.
