The YONEX Czech Open 2023 commences tomorrow. The International Series tournament features some of the Czech Republic's finest players who have been on a roll recently, and you’ll be able to follow all the action on badmintoneurope.tv.

Leading the charge in the men's singles is top seed Jan Louda. His first opponent is yet to be determined, but Louda is geared up to face anyone who makes it through.

The men's doubles category also features formidable Czech talent. Top seeds Ondřej Král/ Adam Mendrek are entring straight into the Round of 16, which begins on Friday. This Czech pair is riding high on confidence after an impressive quarterfinal finish at the Arctic Open last week.

The women's singles main draw has a big line-up of Czech players. Competing in this category are Lucie Krulová, sixth-seeded Katerina Tomalova, Petra Maixnerová, Tallulah Sharleen Van Coppenolle, and Kateřina Mikelová, representing the RSL BEC Centre of Excellence. Dane Irina Amalie Andersen, also from the CoE, is also in the main draw as the women’s singles second seed.

Here’s the schedule for the tournament:
  • Thursday, 19th: Qualifying rounds from 9am to 9pm
  • Friday, 20th: Main draw from 9am to 9pm
  • Saturday, 21st: Quarterfinals at 10am, Semifinals at 3pm
  • Sunday, 22nd: Finals at 10am
