Badminton Europe is seeking a Manager for Major Events and Circuits for a full-time position to join its office in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

Manager for Major Events and Circuits – Badminton Europe
Badminton Europe is the Continental Confederation administering the sport of badminton in Europe. There are currently 16 full time employees backing up an elected Board of Directors servicing our 53 Members. Information on the organization can be found here: http://www.badmintoneurope.com  

The Manager for Major Events and Circuits will be heading the Events team that consists of a manager and two officers. The Events Manager will be reporting to the Deputy General Secretary. The work will include some travelling and some flexibility in working hours will be required.

The Manager for Major Events and Circuits is responsible for the general management and coordination of Badminton Europe’s Major Events, its International Circuit, Junior Circuit and U17 Circuit and for European Technical Officials.

Overall areas of responsibility
- Management of staff within the Major Events and Circuits team to ensure delivery as per listed under Major Events and Circuits as well Technical Officials
- Participate in creating the strategic plan for relevant working areas
- Ensure delivery of strategic plan KPIs. Track progress of implementation and report on the delivery of KPIs
Support the work of BEC Events Committee. Contribute to the preparation of committee meetings by planning the meetings’ agenda, preparing materials and presentations for the committee
- Develop and monitor budgets and financial reports 
- Keep the relevant sections of BEC website updated

Major Events and Circuits
- Coordinate the development of Major Events bidding and hosting requirements. Manage Major Events host bidding process, evaluation and allocation
- Planning and preparation of Major Events with the host. Working closely with host and other stakeholders onsite to deliver the event according to expected requirements
- Conduct post-event evaluations with the objective of improving Major Events delivery
- Liaising with Circuit tournament organisers regarding any tournament management matters
- Provide digital support to tournament organisers regarding new tournament software
- Coordinate the sanction procedure of Circuit tournaments
- Analyse, develop and monitor implementations of competition regulations
- Prepare reports for BWF 
- Gather and present relevant data and information on Major Events and Circuits to support effective decision-making by Events Committee and Board.

Technical Officials
- Overall management of the Technical Officials area
- Collaborate with technical officials coordinators and assessment panel
- Support the organising of technical officials education 
- Coordinate and oversee technical officials appointments
- Manage and keep track of technical officials statistics

Qualifications
• You have experience working with events management
• You have experience in website maintenance
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
• You have initiative and personal drive
• You can work and deliver within deadlines
• You are comfortable working with Microsoft Office

The successful candidate will have to re-locate to Copenhagen and should have the necessary work permission in the EU to be considered for the job.
