Tomorrow the semifinals start at the Orleans Masters 2023 and four Danish players will give their all.

Magnus Johannesen, Maiken Fruergaard/ Sara Thygesen and Line Kjærsfeldt are some of tomorrow’s big names.

Johannesen played today against Leong Jun Hao and won in straight games 21-19 21-16: “I think it was a close match. I think I was lucky to win the first game today, but I knew it was going to be hard, so I fought back in the first game. I am just very happy that I managed to win the match today in two games”, shares the Dane.

Line Kjærsfeldt also succeed in the quarterfinals with a strong performance. Kjærsfeldt faced Natsuki Nidaira and won 21-16 21-19: “It’s always a bit difficult when you haven’t played the opponent before, but I was trying to focus on my own game and what I had to do in the match, and I think that went really well. It’s getting better day by day. I think today I played very well and I’m really happy”, says Kjærsfeldt. Tomorrow she will face Carolina Marin in the semifinals of the Orleans Masters: “For sure it will be a tough match but also an exciting one”, states the Dane.

Maiken Fruergaard and Sara Thygesen won against Lauren Smith and Chloe Birch 21-17 21-8 and tomorrow they will play versus Rena Miyaura and Ayako Sakuramoto.

But not only Danish players will perform in the semifinals

Nhat Nguyen, Yvonne Li and Carolina Marin will represent their countries and try to reach for the finals in Orleans.
