The Men’s Singles Training camp is currently underway in the RSL BEC Centre of Excellence.

One month after the Women’s Singles Training Camp took place, the RSL BEC Centre of Excellence is hosting the Men’s Singles Training Camp.

From 20 until 24 February, 15 players from 10 different countries will be taking part in a varied programme, including sessions about badminton technique and weight training. Jeroen Van Dijk (CoE Head Coach), Dennis Christensen (CoE Coach), and Maxime Moreels (former CoE player and CoE Coach) will be leading the training camp.

“I’m extremely happy with the level of the players. I think it shows that Europe is going in the right direction. It’s wonderful that so many people have taken the opportunity to come to the RSL BEC Centre of Excellence. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes”, stated Christensen.

In the training camp, the participants will also get to train along with the CoE men’s singles players. Jan Janoštík from Czech Republic finds it one of this week’s highlights: “It’s a great opportunity for everyone with this kind of sparring players that we normally don’t have back home in our training setups”.

By practising with the different sparring players, playing matches and doing different exercises, the players can continue with their individual preparation for the busy tournament calendar ahead. “The three coaches are very focused on every single player. They are giving us a lot of feedback to be able to keep improving and that’s very good”, explained Adam Konczol from Hungary.

The Men’s Singles Training Camp will be running until Friday, until when all the players will be back to their home countries to keep up the good work and hopefully, with their backpacks filled with new insights.
